At this point it is hard not to make some important connections between Mormons and terrorism. Kahl and Snell were both members of the radical Mormon fundamentalist “Christian Identity” group known as The Covenant, the Sword and the Arm of the Lord (CSA), which was founded by James Ellison and Kerry Noble who were both polygamist Mormons.

Further, this same Mormon theology is still taught by the "mainstream" Utah Mormons even today and is still considered canon by the Utah Mormon religion today.
